Re: Dominion 3 Server Monitor Tool

My apologies, I moved several sites off of shared hosting onto my own - and some files didn't get moved. It should be back in place now.

I can certainly post the C# source files as well, if there...

Re: Can I set a player AI w/o knowing his password

Sorry if this is listed somewhere already but I searched for password, command line, server, host master password, and didn't find anything useful.

Some of my players can't connect and must be...

Re: Dominion 3 Server Monitor Tool

The tool now lists the amount of time remaining until the server hosts. If there is no timer set, it displays 0hrs. It also lists the number of the nations playing.

I'll address the above concerns...

Dominion 3 Server Monitor Tool

Here's my attempt at a Dom3 server monitor tool.

It's Windows only, requires .NET, and as all software that doesn't go through Q&A, may crash your PC...

Re: CLI for probing turn status

Oh, I think I figured it out. I should have looked at this in the first place:

All is clear now (I think).

-10 points for reading comprehension.

I do not understand how:

1 str message from host (unused)
P chars players controlled by (0=no one 1=human 2=AI)
P chars...

Re: CLI for probing turn status

Awright, I got the server to talk to me, but I don't get the way the packet is constructed. I can see the name of the game, then a couple of zeros, then the magic 45 char, ... and then about 200...

I'm not familiar with patching on linux, how do I patch my server? Do I just replace the dom3 file with what's in the archive, or is there something else I need to do?

Some documentation in the...

Re: How to take screenshots ?

www.irfanview.com (http://www.irfanview.com) if you're using Windows.

It's free, it's tiny, and best of all it's user-configurable. You can map it to a hotkey (I use Ctrl F11 as an unlikely...

Re: CLI for probing turn status

Yep, that's what I'm doing (http://froggyfish.net/squidz/), works pretty well. As was said however, it does require scripting and hosting on the client side.

You could write that logfile out and...

Re: CLI for probing turn status

I would like to know this too. What I'm using in the meantime is writing the events out to a logfile, then reading it and parsing it for info.

I also add player names, but of course that all takes...

Re: Network to PBEM?

Bugger.

Re: Network to PBEM?

How do I do that?

I found this in the docs:

Ok, turns out those won't work. You can setup the server, but you can't choose those in the connect screen.

Which makes sense, since ports < 1000 are reserved for system services...
