Re: The Curse of the Delay

I don't usually weigh in on these discussions, but in this case I will make an exception. I think its time to face facts: your initial premise that delay/advance was seriously advantaged to advance,...

Re: Getting a beach assault in a long campaign

This is all my impression, not from insight into the code. Firstly, the date has to be right. So, if the campaign date is April or August 1944, you are out of luck. I think the easiest way is...

Re: T-44

I did a quick look in the encyclopedia (sp?), and there is a version available in 1946-1953. I didn't look at the difference

Re: Generated Campaign question.

I can't comment on the parameters of a generated campaign as I usually use a long campaign format. But I get to select the force size. Currently running one at 1200 points.

Re: Campaign: Review Unit

I had the black out with the latest patch. Started that particular battle under the previous patch, finished with the latest one. Thats the only time I've seen the blackout.

Re: Reviews!

I don't normally weigh in on these type of discussions, but this time I feel I have to. I have been playing WW2 type games almost since they were invented. Got my first one in 1970. Have played the...

Re: Campaign: Review Unit

It was the very first time I finished a battle within a generated campaign post update. The campaign was started under the last version. So, yes: the latest EXE

Re: Campaign: Review Unit

mine was USMC 1984ish. And every unit that I clicked on showed blank. Never seen it before or since. I didn't click every unit in my core, but I did for half a dozen or so. Sorry not more details....

Re: Campaign: Review Unit

I did experience the same "blackout". It was a generated campaign with winSPMBT that was started under the earlier version. But after I finished with repairs, etc. the review feature worked just...

Re: confusing Artillery overload score

I concur, sounds like you should have had more overload points from the AI purchase. Keep in mind, as Andy said, that some of the arty that the AI buys might be "direct control" with a 25% discount...

Re: confusing Artillery overload score

I'm not being argumentative, and it doesn't really matter, but you can't buy offboard arty by individual tubes. if you select a battery (bty) it will show one line on the top display on the right,...

Re: confusing Artillery overload score

Echoing a previous comment, I think you may have bought 3 battalions of 105s. A battery has 4 guns and costs ~200, a battalion has 3 batteries (12 guns) and costs ~600. I don't see any way to buy 9...

Re: Fyi

Don, first of all, let me thank you for all the work you have done to keep SP as one of the best tactical games currently available. Although I have only ever lurked in the background, the work you...
