Re: Mistletoe - an LA game for busy people (in progress)

Well "we" can't finish at present because there aren't any other players anymore. And I haven't yet given up and taken out the AI by myself (assuming LlamaServer even allows a game to continue with...

Re: Mistletoe - an LA game for busy people (in progress)

Alright, I've asked for a substitute at Dom3mods. I don't know whether anything will come of that.

Re: Mistletoe - an LA game for busy people (in progress)

Hm, I gave him an extra two years, but there's been no communication. I guess I'll need to find a substitute.

It's still on, we're just waiting for Patala: ...

Re: Mistletoe - an LA game for busy people (in progress)

I've put it to 9 days. That should support a turn-every-weekend schedule.

Re: Precision & Penetration

And, particularly: precision is only for things that can VISIBLY miss. So if you SEE your dudes shooting toward the wrong spot then their precision may be too low and maybe you should give them a...

Re: Mistletoe - an LA game for busy people (in progress)

I've temporarily turned off quickhosting so that I too may reliably partake of the extra time. I'll probably make some adjustments in my orders and then turn it back on tomorrow. Presumably this...

Re: Mistletoe - an LA game for busy people (in progress)

Perhaps the great empire of C'tis will disappear soon, then. Or perhaps not. We shall see.

When the Atlantian army finally tears down the jeweled city of Patala, a statue of a lizardman will be...

Re: Mistletoe - an LA game for busy people (in progress)

Family has visited and prevented me from accomplishing anything. I must delay the turn.

Re: Opposition -- bug or WAD?

Disintegrate can do that too. I think Gift of Health might be another thing that can allow a unit to survive that kind of attack, sometimes. Maybe Opposition and Disintegrate have the same...

Re: What attack spells work under water?

Air works better than one might think. Most of the lightning attacks seem to work fine, and some illusion-themed spells work. I guess it's mainly the ones focused on winds, clouds, and storms that...

Re: returning spell

If you use Ritual of Returning instead of Returning, you can gradually put Returning on all your S1 commanders with just a few starshine skullcaps, and then do something else with the skullcaps. ...

Re: Tips for fighting misform units

If the enemy with mistform is a lone commander, you could put a couple of mages up front with instructions to cast some high-precision armor-negating spell several times, such as Lightning, Drain...

Re: Movement question

I just tested this. Assuming I did it right, and I think I did: No, the fortress will not fully heal if the besieging army leaves while another moves in.

Re: ctis poison slingers

Yeah, when a battle ends, there are five more rounds (I think it's always five, but like Immaculate I'm not totally sure) of regeneration, reinvigoration, poisoning, decay, and other such lingering...

Re: About the game

People around here who seem to know seem to think that Dominions 4 isn't coming, or that if it IS coming we won't see it for a long time. The developers' newest game COE3 (...

Re: downloading mods

You could try downloading it to another place and then unzipping it (if it's a .zip file) there, to remove any doubt about whether you're replacing a corrupt file or whatever. Then you could move...

Re: Some questions

Also, Pazuzu and the Vastness are explicitly Blind, whereas the Ivy King is not. The latter probably has eyes that can be knocked out, and they are probably in its head.

Re: Some questions

Returning isn't bothered by domes. It works reliably in very many situations.

By all appearances, the Ivy King has as much of a head as any humanoid creature. I think they left out its head slot...
