CBM 1.7 nukes agartha even farther into hell. PD 20 does not make up for the lack of forging which was EA agarthas only sane play.

Some improvements to Rlyeh are pretty easily moddable.
I'd suggest the following and then reanalyse:

1. replace water only free spawns with with amphibious. Mid+ you have no need for these...

I dont believe that the attackers defenses matter - I think it is just a straightline damage applied. Sympathetic magic - you hit me for 20 damage - so if you fail the mr you take the damage.

Well, with the right nations, (and the right research) thats not that much of an issue. You do have to experiment, but I find bards will cast soothing songs fairly reliably, for example.

My personal opinion is that the arena item now is too strong.
Having had to kill the wielder of it, I can tell you its real difficult in the early to mid game.

Essentially it allows many nations...

Yeah, I left a remark about this spell, and another blood spell (blood burst = b1, uses 2 slaves), At the CBM thread. I suggest making it B2, and use 2 slaves. Nice tradeoff, and it allows your b2...

Its not entirely a bug. You're correct about a b1 not casting it. However, b2s and b3s can cast it with the appropriate fatigue. The only advante of the lower path requirements is for the purposes...

I've reported this previously. I was able to make the spell work more reliably by modding it to 1 blood slave, but then its too powerful.

Undead got no benefit from the spell in several tests,...

well thats about 99% true. Disease also makes you slightly more susceptible to the decay spell, even if you are undead.
Not that this is any great shakes against an undead.

I thnk the .trn question is an excellent one. So lets make the assumption: no shared .trn files as a rule.

Captains will have to trust their (backstabbing) team...

50% of all non astral non blood gems spent in spell casting or forging are converted into astral and given to the caster.

It is not at all uncommon to make 75+ astral a turn with this spell.
