I believe that most of the low-end crosspath item changes are in order to make them worth forging without hammers. QM is actually much more concerned with theme than balance, and has resisted a lot...

Actually, the machaka spells look pretty awesome! Overall I think that this CBM will make them quite a different and better nation to play. The new marverni spells are a bit interesting too, though...

Not really that much. Non-blood nations couldn't really do blood as much more than a sideshow, and having your main bloodhunter go from >50% chance to find a slave to <50% is significant...

You're not supposed to "put" the patch .exe anywhere, you're just supposed to run it, then make sure its targeting the correct folder.

I don't suppose you could provide a screen shot of each step?...

Ummm, can you figure out where exactly you have dominions installed? you should be able to run the patch installer and just point it there.

It SHOULD be a .exe file, so there shouldn't be a need to extract it or anything. In my exp. it automatically detects wherever you have your dom3 folder and you just tell it okay to patch.

The AI _loves_ phoenix pyre. The best way to avoid a repeat is to simply have them fully scripted for 5 turns. At least that way you get to delay the AI taking the reins for a bit.
