Re: Blood SCs

Bat/man: I don't see how, in any of your examples, you've described something that's different with bloodless communions from what you'd be doing with slaves.

Re: Blood SCs

At 100- fatigue your caster doesn't cast any more spells, thus ensuring that no blood slaves are consumed. It's a very harsh way to control gem consumption, but hey, why not.[/QUOTE]

Wha...? But...

Re: Blood SCs

Explain how you get "*much* more controllable, and predictable use of blood slaves" at 100- fatigue instead of 99- fatigue.

Re: LA Newbie Game: Blood Sacrifices (BS!) [Started] [14/14]

That's alright, I'm watching it :)

There are a couple of other slackers out there whose turns, I assume, are contingent upon your diplomacy; after you submit I'll be sending out a warning message...

Re: Fatigue 100- ?

He should cast it.

The exception would be if the AI decides that your opponent is too weak to bother wasting gems on - I don't know what metrics are used to arrive at that decision.

Re: LA Newbie Game: Blood Sacrifices (BS!) [Started] [14/14]

Cool, thanks for the heads-up. If you're likely to be able to get turns in on a semi-regular basis, I can add an extra 12-24h onto the timer for that time period - I'd hate for you to miss turns at...

Re: Initiative: EA game. Eleven players. Upload Pretenders

Yep, Samhain is absolutely correct. Newer version of Windows should be able to handle .zip files innately, but if you're having issues you might consider using 7zip - http://www.7-zip.org/ - it's...

Re: Repel

This thread has some good advice in it, and some bad advice. Don't quote the bad bits, and don't design a nation around repel, and you're like to have a much more successful dom3 experience.

Re: The Rope Bridge, any-skill MA (uploading pretenders)

There are at least four provinces between every land capital (ie, cap0-prov1-prov2-prov3-prov4-cap5), and at least two between any water start and any land start. Sounds like you may have an awake...

Re: NEWBIE GAME - EA - Stumble onwards to Victory! [STARTED 12/12 REMAIN]

So, I'm an idiot and didn't get my last turn in on time, but I'm still here and don't expect to be staling again. :D

Re: Initiative: EA game for newbs, intermediates, experienced but not hard-core vets

Samhain: Guessing he probably just missed it. Should add you as Abysia and move Holey back to Agartha imo.

Pretty sure we're being facetious and mocking another thread, HoleyDooley. :D You're free to play whomever you want from my standpoint.

Re: Initiative: EA game for newbs, intermediates, experienced but not hard-core vets

Cool, that does work! I did not know that - for some reason I thought the AI just wouldn't cast a spell that would put you over 200 fatigue. I was wrong! :D

Re: Initiative: EA game for newbs, intermediates, experienced but not hard-core vets

10% shot at an s4 druid, which with skullcap/ros/crystal coin/crystal shield/northern star/gems might actually allow you to get under 200 fatigue :p

they also have a really small (0.25% I think?)...

I thought the "brxbrx:" lead-in at the start of that paragraph made my point fairly clear that I was refuting brbrx's comment.

Re: Repel

better test might be berserk enc0 high attack with long weapon vs high-hp, enc 0 regenerating with length-0 or close to it. I should be able to create that matchup.
