Thumbs up Re: Flickering in fullscreen

Ok, I played around a bit more and found a way to set up the desktops quickly without wreaking chaos. :)

It now actually works windowed/desktop resolution with both desktops active and in native...

Re: Flickering in fullscreen

Disabling one monitor solved the flickering. Bit of a hassle to reorganise two desktops every time, but at least in theory it works. :)

However, windowed with desktop resolution is still not...

Re: Flickering in fullscreen

I can't play windowed at desktop resolution, because winSP doesn'T know how to handle to desktops with different resolutions in this case. ;)

But, yes, 1680x1050 is native, for monitor and video...

Question Flickering in fullscreen

Fullscreen works perfectly so far, however I get flickering (about every second) of broad horizontal stripes.

Is there something I can do or is winSP simply not able to handle the fullscreen...

Re: NEW gameoptions Beta test

It works if I downgrade to a one monitor setup.

I'm aware that running two monitors at different solutions (1280x1024 / 1650x1080, so it's even one 4:3 and one widescreen) can be problematic (for...

Re: NEW gameoptions Beta test

Nope, doesn't work.
Fullscreen, the game takes up to a minute to start into the main menu, starting an actual battle takes more than that with extremely sluggish controls (talking a reaction time of...

Re: Ban-a-thon

FWIW (probably not a lot, as I realise), I'll be staying away from this forum as well in the future. The behaviour of Shrapnel officials in this matter, or even this thread is no longer an...

Re: Night of the Long Knives?

Still I say it's bad PR to ban him and not provide ANY information - letting rumours and speculation run rampant, then closing those threads as well.

Re: 10th Anniversary

Well, it's still open if THIS will be released first, or Duke Nukem Forever... My be: none of them will. :D

Re: Advice on nation selection needed

I guess I'll try LA Agartha first - when that fails, EA Ermor is next. ;)

Re: Comprehensive Undate?

I have no problems running any of the SP games under Vista. What should I say? "Yep, the issue I never had appears to have been fixed for those that did"?

Re: Comprehensive Undate?

The game is superb, make no mistake. I bought both this and MBT. But as with the issue about the manual in a proper format (PDF), it's simply a matter of making it more accessible to new buyers.

Re: Installation

Vista 32 behaves itself, it's only the 64 bit versions that are a a little strange.

And even Microsoft dropped XP a while ago... ;)

Re: Comprehensive Undate?

Fair enough. I don't keep patches around precisely because bandwidth is cheap. ;)
I was just stating that of all the people I know, I'm among the slowest in having only 3MBit DSL. Even extremely...

Re: Advice on nation selection needed

Well, I think I'll definitely want a rainbow pretender. It just looks the most versatile in the long run. EA Ermor looks good so far, a nice selection of troops and decent magic.

How does LA...

Advice on nation selection needed

I'm about to start a grand campaign: Oeridia, 65 AI players.

The setup is Single Age (complete), UWGI & CBM 1.6 - I've excluded all nations with a killing dominion or depending on blood...

Re: Nation Reference - ALL AGES (Updated 28.04.10)

And here is the LA reference!

I want to stress again that my thanks go to lch and the writers of the dom3wiki.

Incidentally, the "Magic Access" tables seem to be incomplete - all EA nations...

Re: Nation Reference - EA/MA (Updated 27.04.10)

If they're recruitable everywhere, then the reference table looks correct.

I've done some cleanup to make the tables look nicer and added the next guide - Middle Age.

Nation Reference - ALL AGES (Updated 28.04.10)

Yesterday I was browsing through the old Dom3 manual and got immersed in the nation descriptions. I really like them, and I also like having a physical reference at hand when choosing my nation in...

Re: Just Stopping in to say hi.

The processing times are one thing. It doesn't even run that well on a relatively powerful machine. And SE4 has a ton more shipsets to choose from, plus shipsets are easier to make.
