Try the demo, the demo is currently at version 1.08, approx 1 patch behind (cur retail patch is 1.17). Try it for yourself and see how you think you like it, some people are alittle hard on this game...

I think we can agree to disagree here, both methodes of madness have merit. My thinking when I designed my repair bases was it was relitively early game and I hadent teched up to shipyard components...

A) Why would a repair base be useless? I built as many as 3 at some planets using the standard space station hull and 5ish repair bays, this is great help when you are retrofitting a fleet or it...

Thats a good idea, it definatly gave much better results though with "point blank" strategy the battleship and the frigate seems to try to become "one" with each other ...

Part of the problem is the fact that frigates can carry mounts (when they are large enough), thats true. But the Battleship WOULD outclass the frigate easily if it could hit it at all, the frigate...

Maybe you can, but I dont see that working quite as well with 2d pictures as with a 3d engine running it where ships and fighters manuver in realtime. I cant see how you can do with with .gifs....

I dont get this negativity? Why would you pay the money to get SEIV rather then stick to SEIII? It's the same thing only with "a few more features and some graphic improvements" right? SEV is too...
