blink is not good mainly for the same reason berserk is. If a mage its not scripted or scripted to do something he cant.
he will cast this spells that do a lot more harm than if he didnt do nothing....

later on, you can forge the horn (air magic) or the gate cleaver (earth?). And equip some commander. Be sure as said above to have the commanders who lead the troops doing siege and not something...

i did cast it several turns with the following message.
(name of the mage) casted wind ride on (province name).
(that's the message more or less)...

In a MP im in some of last turn's report messages had the question mark that ussualy goes on a deceased mage casting a spell. And without the goto commander instance.

I thought they were dead, but...

and if a mage has more astral than the other has higher chances. don't remember how much more do you need to have zero chances of loosing.
