When I shell a bunker the bunker takes on some suppression if I shell it a lot that can be a lot of suppression however, if the bunker has troops loaded into it those troops take on much less...

I see, only problem would be the mortar can fire from behind armour and can return fire that move instead of dismounting and firing the next turn. Can't have everything I guess.

So I rerun the tests with a bigger sample set, I dismounted 50 times into 50 hexes, each with 50 mines. Not a single explosion. If you walk into the same hexs from next hex then usually an explosion....

This time I went through the entire German OOB about 74 Heat Weapons. Same pattern.
For every weapon except 1 the APCALC Heat penetration value is LESS than the Mobhack value. For 1 is is the same....

I notice that dismounting from a vehicle or landing barge and I suspect also from a glider does not trigger mines.
To test this I put 100 or so points of mines into a hex and dismounted...

I should have given an example, if you buy a British 14" gun, unit 460 it costs 262 points. If you buy 4 14" guns, battleship, unit 504 that costs 512 points, quite a big discount.
