Re: What's this?

Looks like a standard M901 ITV "hammerhead" to me. The rest of the vehicle is likely obscured in a hull-down position (or just in tall grass). This was the whole point of developing the ITV's...

Re: More realistic air OOB for USA

Just some notes and questions.

- What is the "speed" on the OA-10? The fact that AOP aircraft treat speed completely differently from other aircraft types is one of the reason the MOBHack manual...

Re: Towing Guns

Just to note, unless something has changed, the load cost is calculated by figuring out the sum of the unit's weight and its personnel. Weight is generally either 0, 100, or 200, but many vehicles...

Re: My case for can Venezuela get in before 2020?

Having been heavily involved with user made "nations" in the past, I can tell you that there have been no plans to add any additional nations to the game for some time now and that this is unlikely...

Re: Russia OOB New standard rifle

The decision to replace existing rifles with the An-94 broadly was also basically put on hold primarily because of the cost. The An-94 was also found to be more finicky because of the overly complex...

Re: The FASTBOAT Patch page.

The Technical Bulletin for the "Special Configuration" is dated May 1969, and a change was made in September 1969 to add in armor to the vehicle's underbelly to help protect against mines. I also...

Re: Iraqi OOB error report

I'm not sure about the flag (I don't personally think it looks like a US flag), but the armament identifies it as non-US in my mind.

Re: Iraqi OOB error report

If you're talking about the vehicle in the second pic Marcello put up then its an M1114 with Frag armor (Frag Kits 1, 2, and 5 most likely), what appears to be an Objective Gunner Protection Kit...

Re: Ya wanna talk moving TO&E target? Well, do ya?

Its also important to note that by the mid-1970s, the M114s were broken up into 2 M114A1 and 2 M114A2, and that the ACR's tank company still had M60s rather than the M551s in the platoons.

Cavalry...

Re: A-6A Intruder

Is Unit 204 a level bomber? Level bomber classed units don't "aim" and so FC and vision ratings don't have any effect on them.

There's a 2009 version of FKSM 71-8 available through this yahoo group: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/ModernTO-Es/. It was created effectively as a subgroup of the following group, which I...

Re: Perimeter Defence Projects

I think one of the problems is that it has human rights activists up in arms because it can't necessarily tell the difference. As already noted, these sort of defenses aren't suitable for built-up...

Re: USA OBAT12 Error

There was a turreted mortar system available for the Piranha II chassis (and I would imagine now the III, from which the Stryker was derived) and General Dynamics Land Systems proposed an 155mm...

Re: US running out of dumb bombs?

I find this hard to understand. The USAF has completely transitioned away from complete bombs, which started in the late 1950s. The bombs are assembled at airbases before being loaded onto...

Re: MRAPs and a couple of general questions.

In that post you suggested that out of a 6,500 vehicle total, the USMC was to get 1,100, the USAF and Navy 100, and the Army would get the balance. Army News reported...

Re: MRAPs and a couple of general questions.

The total DoD buy as of November 2009 was ~6,500 vehicles. By January 2010, it was 6,619. A news story in March 2010 suggested the Army's portion of that was ~6,000 vehicles by itself. That's the...

Yeah, I'm not sure what the decision making process was behind Paraguay and Uruguay, but that's how it is. I'd rather have them than not hehe.

I've already done Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and...
