Core units can be made reinforcements for one particular battle in the campaign. If you are trying to make the battle less "set piece" where the player has the time to clear the area of AT weapons...

First the units need to be set up in Green, then the weapons if they are not already in the OOB and once that is done I can look at the scenarios that use them and it would be way easier if I could...

If you sort the encyclopaedia by unit class it's on the last page, third from the bottom and it was added for scenario variety.

Green is a non specific OOB and yes, Gunships are not a picklist item there is still the issue of all the known scenarios that currently use them from the USA OOB and an unknown number of campaign...

......which *seemed* a "good idea" ATT but the flaw in that idea is that the Green OOB already has it's own Gunships which would conflict with the US ones unless the US ones were added over top of...

Removing any unit, especially ones that have been there since the early days is a PITA and in the case of the gunships will require (IIRC) a couple dozen scenarios to be reworked and none of that is...

Like everything else in this game ( and the real world...) it varies.

Open the map editor and randomly place some buildings on a flat map. Now pass the cursor over the top of each hex they are in...

Range to target is also a factor. But, yes if a unit has "hit the dirt" and are stationary they would be harder to hit but if the firing unit is not suppressed and has moved adjacent they are...

In a general "rule of thumb" way, yes but how well a unit does under fire and the casualties it may take are more related to that units experience, morale, suppression and status, and the firing...
