I just tried that test with Italian cobras, which have no RPG. The AI fired one at about 350 yards by itself, but the rest stayed silent until the tanks moved , when the cobras started to fire within...

Bug confirmed - AI v AI game, all tanks start within 500m of saggers, saggers fired at 1% to hit.

Something to put on the to-fix list.

Oh - if these were Sagger teams, then those usually have a RPG-7 to cover the 0-500m dead zone. Maybe you were seeing an RPG shot?.

Might work in overwrite mode, to ensure no extra characters get input in regular text editor mode (typically insert mode by default?).

A hex editor works on the existing chars so is always safe.

As I said above - the code uses the magic number of 40 or more to be thermal or radar and so it sees through smoke. There is no qualifier to the vision number for IR, white light, LLTV, image...

The magic number for thermal imaging in the game is 40 - anything less and the thing cannot see through smoke. So if it is a thermal sight, it is at least 40.

CS tanks usually have some HEAT as the A/T ammo since HEAT is dual-purpose against grunts (beyond the 4 kept in hand) and is also good versus bunkers etc. Some CS tanks may have sabot or AP though,...
