That usually occurs with me if I am trying to run the game in full-screen mode. It works just fine at the same resolution in windowed mode, at desktop resolution.

3 tries would give you 3 goes at breaking LOS, but if the chance was only 5% - maybe not much use. For example - if there is an elite unsuppressed infantry unit looking at your team from 50 metres......

There are only 15 hill levels (the original game had but 3 remember!) so the only way one can do it is to "smooth" the real terrain heights to fit into the 15 levels, with level 0 being major water...

Its always been that way, since SSI allowed entry into the same hex as an enemy back in SP1 days - probably one of the later patches to it. Previous to that, you could not enter a hex with an enemy...
