Re: Trying to re-mod!

Have to answer my own question...

The files I saved were on Mozy. Inspection shows no difference between what they hold and what a fresh download gives me. However, using a mod fresh off the forum...

Trying to re-mod!

Had to have my computer scrubbed after some nasty viruses. Installed WW fine, put in the 1.22 patch, fine. But the mods (which I'd saved off), I'm having problems with.

My weird world directory is...

Re: Some tips for players who are new to Bronze

The Gutians's are a little tricky to play as and against. The issue with them is an inability to convert farms - at all! Playing against them, a city gives you a great buffer - stops them in their...

Re: Towns seems ineffective when you have Palaces available

I don't know - a lot of times I have to go with towns - I simply don't have the cash or will need it shortly. I figure towns are good at the start when you are just trying to plug up the map. Since...

Re: The Campaign - replayablity

I just started the middle age but hadn't seen it. That's neat that you actually added that.

Re: The Campaign - replayablity

I was thinking about this last night. Its known that the rivers in that area were in constant flux, changing thier beds over the years. Why not alter the rivers (slightly) and move some of the...

Is it true...?

...that if you fail a map enough times, you start geting cash bonuses when you try again?

So says the manual, but I've not seen it yet.

How many starts (if true)?

The Campaign - replayablity

This is a rethinking of my earlier comment on another thread.

I think, to make Bronze great for replayablity, the following should happen for campaigns...

1) You pick an age - all the region...

Re: Pretty much going to buy it, but...

Well, I bought it last night and started my first campaign. Love it, but its a little diminished knowing there is no randomization to the campaign maps. Look at how Oasis did it - the maps had the...

Pretty much going to buy it, but...

I've played the demo and can't speak to the game as of yet - been busy and will probably pick it up when I get the chance.

The one thing I'm worried about are the maps. It seems that every time...

I'll try to pull this down in a day or so and have a look-see.

Re: Suggestions for the Future of Air Command

6) At the end of the game, show your points details. It only makes sense - if I really suck a score, I'd like to know why. I can only tell if I get on the top ten, which is rather a catch-22.

You...

Re: Suggestions for the Future of Air Command

I'll add another I forgot...

5) When you clear someone for takeoff, they are already cleared to climb to 10k on the VOR. Why not allow you, as the controller, to also set their immediate course...

Re: Suggestions for the Future of Air Command

Wow, a stale nine-year old thread. Why not respond? I was a young man when this one started.

Okay, things I want:

1) Some indications on where the planes entering are coming in at, as well as...

Orlando

Okay, the base is dead, but I like the game. I also like Orlando (I live here). So I took the "Canaveral" map (along with its egypt backdrop) and altered it to make this central-florida specific. The...

Re: What difficulty level do most of you play on?

Yeah, this is a little late. But still, I'm new and its fun.

I'm playing normal but considering moving to moderate.

I'll toggle Military and clouds as I see fit.

Question to ANYONE - do you...

Re: Dirty Tricks

I don't know about that.

I've been in a system with the bird-traders and the astoriod-guys (I had the crystal fish). When I used the mirror, my ship, my allies in my fleet, the traders, and the...

Re: OT: I miss this place, and Weird Worlds

Ooooh. THAT thing. Well, its nice to know that thing has a meaning now.

Wonder who did the sound effects for it. Funny.

Loved the device I was able to build. After I clobbered the big candy box...

Re: Dirty Tricks

>>BLINK BLINL<< (those are my eyes)

I didn't know that. I've used cloak to come close to them, uncloak, and drop back in if they fire. But I didn't know you could ride it right down to the hatch....

Re: Dirty Tricks

This one just in - did it last night. If you have a invisible ship out there somewhere, you can blind fire (in a spread, if you have a number of ships) and find him pretty easy.

If you have a...
