Re: Hue city 1967-68

Yeah, the book is worth a look if you are interested in the period.
Well researched, but with the same focus on the characters that he gave to Blackhawk down, both from the US/ARVN and the...

Re: Hue city 1967-68

Any progress on Battle of Hue scenarios?
Just finished Mark Bowden's (Blackhoawk Down) book, 'Hue 1968'.
Nasty battle - good book.

I've visited the city, and especially around the Citadel, it...

Hey Mallard,
Great to see an interest in this ver underrepresented battle!
I actually started looking into having a go at making one myself, but never got much further than the planning stage.

This is a must have, imo.
You have a similar mod for WW2 also don't you, or was that made by someone else?

Re: Cross Sounds 1.2 - Released Nov 2011

Sounds good ;)

I guess some people may already have different versions of this, so the upgrades are useful, but it might be an idea to include a single all inclusive version too.

Re: Can i have English Please

The big draw for me of SP has always been the flavor of realism, so I think having the units in the local language is a nice addition.
My only thought would be that it would be good to take it a...

Interesting.
I'll give the latter option a go, and let you know how it works out.

Re: Can we get a 'Mods' sub-forum?

Thanks Don!
A good healthy mod section can be a huge traffic generator, not to mention that lots of cool options make it much easier to draw one's friends into the SP cult.:D

I wonder if...

Re: Changing Win7 taskbar position messes up screen?

Thanks Don,
I think I will play around a bit more to see if I can determine what factors are influencing the situation, but I suspect that in the end it will be Plan B.
Luckily I have a fully...

Re: Changing Win7 taskbar position messes up screen?

Thanks Andy,
It doesn't surprise me in the least to hear that this is most likely a windows issue. I just recently switched to Win7 and still not too sure about it.

I tried turning off the laptop...

Re: Changing Win7 taskbar position messes up screen?

Tried unplugging the external monitor, rebooted, and fired up the game on Desktop res/windowed (1366x768) with the task bar still at the top.
The screen came out fine, but their was a space at the...

Re: Changing Win7 taskbar position messes up screen?

Hi Don,
Thanks for the reply, but unless there has been a change, the big "PLEASE READ THIS NOTE !" only warns to run from either the top or bottom,(which I had) and not the side.
It says...

I recently decided...

Both of these points would be very useful.

Re: Can we get a 'Mods' sub-forum?

Absolutely true.
In fact this is one of the major reasons in favor of having a mods sub forum here.
Modding is going to happen in any case, but right now its all over the place.
Hell, its easier...

Re: Can we get a 'Mods' sub-forum?

Don/Andy is this something we might be able to get?

Seabolt makes a good point, that having an centralized spot for mods is a great way of drawing traffic to the forums. People are always keen to...

Re: Problem with ShpEd for terrain tiles

Thanks Don,
No problem with the zip, and that version fits much better for the z5s.
Had a quick try and it still seems to be a bit finicky with the centering but perhaps I just need to play with it...

I think I still have my...

Re: Problem with ShpEd for terrain tiles

Hi Don,
Thanks for the tip, but I tried SP fix the shps with the "Use old header" unchecked, but I'm afraid I had the same problems.
Part of the problem, I suspect, is the fact the SP Fix window is...
