Just finished the 3rd scenario and like the second I think it would be better played as the Russians. This would take most of a weekend to due to the size of the attacking force.

I tried that.

The A-10 still made an attack run but there was a message saying that it could not achieve lock on. It then just flew away without attacking with its other weapons.

How do you get a PGM armed AC to use its other weapons?

Anyone know how to get a PGM armed aircraft such as an A-10 to use its other weapons and not its PGM?

I was targeting a cluster of lightly armed APCs and wanted to use the cluster bombs and 500lb...

AP Penetration Ratings

Is there a specific range at which a gun's AP value is rated?

For example if a gun has an AP rating of 10 is this its rating at 5 hexes or 20 hexes?

Were the ammo canisters meant to be near the 82mm mortars? they are too far away to resupply anyone.

In scenario #2 were the Russian ammo canisters at the top right of the map meant to be elsewhere? They are not supplying anything.

Also, I would consider playing this as the Russians. The AI did...

In the original SP 1 fires caused casualties to units in the same hex. Now it just causes suppression.

I had moved them and they ended the turn facing 5 o'clock. This prevented them from firing at a target at the top of the map.

It took me 2-3 turns to figure out why they were not firing.

I had never seen it happen with non airborne MMGs before. I always rolled right up to them with tanks. I guess I will need to reconsider this.

LCI (R) facing and indirect fire

I recently had LCI (R) units not fire indirect as ordered. I discovered that this was because they were not facing the direction of their targets.

Is it intended or a bug that they don't change...

I have recently seen US ABN MMGs and German FJ MG34s close assault armored units.

I have never seen this happen with regular MMG units.

Are the airborne ones a different unit type rather than...

Speaking of ammo units, do you need to be in an adjacent hex to get resupplied? If not what are the ranges for ammo canisters, dumps, and bunkers?

I think I have had units draw resupply from 1-2...

Of course there are many random numbers in several subroutines involved.

There is no "be within 3 hexes and you are automagically connected" rule - 50 metres is half a football field, perfectly...

I recently had had a case where a mortar unit was in the same hex as my A0 but was out of contact. Neither unit was suppressed.

I'm thinking there is a die roll involved here.

I guess the next logical question is if it is better for your B0 to be a forward observer or if B0 should be a combat unit,

Does it make a difference what formation the Forward observer is...

Good to know.

I have been keeping my A0 close to the front to rally troops. I guess if he has a radio he can do it from the rear and shorten the smoke breaks of the artillery crews.

Just discovered that Blue and Green Wagons play vehicle sounds when they move. Red ones play "clip-clop"
