3.0 airport files do not work in Air Command 2.0. But you can use 2.0 airport files in 3.0, if you convert them using the Airport Editor.

The game gets the tick count (from the multimedia resources, not the Windows SDK)when you start a new game, and calculates all events relative from that number. It doesn't rely on any...

Does the clock actually advance although the display is messed up? In other words, do planes still show up periodically as the game advances?

In the "Game Content" thread you mentioned you played the demo and like it a lot. Does this mean your lockup problem is solved? If so, what was the fix?

There are 10 airports that come with the game. There will be a downloads section at this web site where you will be able to download additional airports created by other players.

I have tested the game and it works fine on an ATI Rage Fury Pro - I don't know if this is the same card as an ATI Rage Pro. Also, DirectX has a lot to do with the interaction between the video card...

The problem with the Guillemot Muse sound card has been fixed. You'll need to download the demo again to get the latest Version.

The AC 3.0 Airport Editor will be able to take v2.0 airport files and convert them for use with AC 3.0. The only draw back here is that v2.0 files use only 256 colors, while v3.0 uses 16 million. So...

The editor will allow you to create an entire airport from scratch, including background graphics, VORs, runways, etc. You can also edit and change the airports that will come with the game.

The clouds obscuring the VORs/airports was a trade off between game play and reality. However, the end result is the same. In reality, an air traffic controller may have to re-vector a landing...

There is a section at the end of the manual that will discuss strategies (such as lining up planes in the sky for multiple landings), playing hints, etc.

Since that early 1.0 Version a lot has changed. You still only have the radar screen view (after all, this is all that a real air traffic controllers will see!). Version 3.0 has 16 million colors,...
