Re: SdKfz 250 prototype September 1939

I'm not suggesting anything, only a few hints to help ;)

It's against my interest of promoting Polish vehicles ;) , but there is one possible slot - an usage of 859 Schlepper C7(p) tractor was...

Re: Polish OOB

I'm sorry to overload you, but icons for 37mm Bofors just must be corrected ;)
The rest - well, you can decide if to spare 10 minutes to complete.

Errors, that should be corrected:...

Re: US OOB 12 very minor comments

If there has been introduced new set of realistic icons 8000+, why not use them in all appropriate cases?... And you have a sucker, who wants to check them and pick best ones. I don't know about the...

Re: US OOB 12 very minor comments

Maybe I'll finish with USMC here, because it's largely the same:

30 75mm Howitzer - M1A1 pack howitzer usually uses icon 2111 (like units 123-125) (drawing:...

Re: US OOB 12 very minor comments

Apparently it was longer M4A4. Good eye :)

While checking new icons, I've accidentally found, that 37mm AT guns start 2 or 3 years too early:

Units 39, 96, 97 37mm AT-Gun (available from 1/38)...

Re: Czechoslovak OOB37 and Slovak OOB01

It's a detail, but according to Kliment/Francev, OA vz.27 armoured car had "much improved fire efficiency" comparing to previous model, "due to the use of spotting scopes on the machine guns". So...

Re: Czechoslovak OOB37 and Slovak OOB01

To be precise, according to all sources it was armed with 7.92mm Maxim MG08 (vz.08) TMGs. Weapon could have the same specifications as #211 7.92mm vz24 TMG (or weapon 207 in Polish OOB...

Re: Czechoslovak OOB37 and Slovak OOB01

Misc simple:

50 OA vz 27 - first date 4/39 is an error (later than the second one) - it should be 1/30, and 072 formation should be modified accordingly.
Desert icon is a different car, should be...

Re: Czechoslovak OOB37 and Slovak OOB01

Anyway, back to the main subject. This year I managed to investigate mainly Czechoslovak artillery (which has been omitted somehow), thanks to a reliably-looking Czech page ...

Re: Czechoslovak OOB37 and Slovak OOB01

So why not stick mainly to them instead of producing huge lists?
[/QUOTE]

Because, as a perfectionist, when I see an error or something, than can be easily improved (icon, name etc), I can't...

Re: Czechoslovak OOB37 and Slovak OOB01

I agree. That's why I didn't propose to add CS units in Great Britain in a very beginning of this thread.
More useful could be https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slovak_National_Uprising units,...

Re: Color pictures by PIBWL - release 2

Here is the last update to our color pictures pack, for a New Year (this time mostly middle Europe: Czechoslovakia/Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and other improved pictures).

For the first time all...

Well, as for now I'm trying to keep a hand on a pulse, and I probably will for some time.
The other thing is, that if I stop pestering dear Don with photo correction requests, then picture changes...

Re: Soviet OOB 11: miscellaneous observations

I only meant, that unit 358 (T-26TU M1932) should be never picked by the AI, while MG-armed 222 T-26 M1931 could be more common, than the gun-armed 176. Sorry to annoy you :(

Merry Christmas to...

Re: Soviet OOB 11: miscellaneous observations

a/ did you bother to review the "sabot" weapon stats for the weapon Unit 358 uses ?? There is a significant improvement on range and penetration over the one used for unit 176 so I see no reason to...

Re: Czechoslovak OOB37 and Slovak OOB01

Sometimes I PLAY scenarios. I admit I haven't ever played Czechoslovakia. But note, that this time it wasn't me, who demanded adding Western allied CS units.

BTW: thank you for calling my efforts...

Re: Czechoslovak OOB37 and Slovak OOB01

Well, that's the tiny difference :) I admit I checked the OOB two years ago, only to find, that there is no British armour available in 1944. I can't remember if there were Cromwells post war...

Re: Czechoslovak OOB37 and Slovak OOB01

It would be good, but there would have to be a will... It would sure need some work. The Belgians and the Dutch were lucky to get their tiny 1944-45 forces from the beginning of the game. Contrary to...

Re: Soviet OOB 11: miscellaneous observations

There is very heavy on-map #366 122mm 31 FG (7t), but it wasn't towed by any truck anyway :)

BTW: there are no motorized howitzers currently.

That's a great news :)
Out of curiosity,...

Re: Soviet OOB 11: miscellaneous observations

Michael....... light, medium and heavy trucks are normally designated that way by carry capacity which is why the ZiS 42 HT is a medium. It's carry capaicity does not justify being a " heavy" truck...

Re: Soviet OOB 11: miscellaneous observations

Oh, that's so nice :)
I forgot I did such list (and you had a patience ;) )

As for range of artillery pieces, it's mostly a matter of barrel length.

Anyway, to finish with a partial oob...

Re: Soviet OOB 11: miscellaneous observations

It was in fact one gun (BS-3 obr.44), but their weapons differ in range. According to an article in Polish Poligon (by Russian author), they have been delivered already in late 1944. There's no info,...
