I tried installing the patch and it hung up. Tried again and it failed. Re-downloaded the patch from a different location, reinstalled SEV and the patch won't run and gives an error about the wrong...

Yup. I just reviewed a combat replay (simultaneous game) where an enemy frigate attacked one of my planets which had mines in orbit and mines in cargo. The frigate obviously had hit the minefield...
