Re: British Lynx

Not exactly - it's only the Mk7 that's gone;the Mk9 remains in service.

Re: WinSPWW2 version 8.1 Upgrade patch( May 2015)

Can I assume that the 8.1 Upgrade will disrupt any PBEM games in play? Just checking...

Re: Pbem

Why not?

Can't manage that Turn rate, though - 3/4 per week.

Re: WinSPMBT and WinSPWW2 vs SP World At War

I also started with SP2WW2 - we're old, aren't we?

Tried WAW version too, but just didn't like the feel of it. And when the Camo Group started to expand the size of the maps - it was no contest!

Re: Looking for a tussel

Go on - me as well.

Computer-pick is great! Much more like reality: you fight with what you're given, not what you'd like...

Thumbs up Re: Atgm

I'll go to the foot of our stairs - missed that one!

I always thought such units were not worth the bother of purchasing in view of that limitation; I know different now.

British lorry-mounted 4in guns - 1940

Just found this interesting thread over at WW2Talk:

http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/general/27049-4-inch-mobile-guns.html

An interesting addition to a "Seelowe" scenario.

Re: Why I love SP and why I hate SP

One thing missing is that FLAK never shoots at its own sides' aircraft. Really, it should blaze away at everything that flies.... (in SPWW2, and maybe early SPMBT time-frame, at least)

Re: intermediate level player looking opponents

Patric,

You seem eager for the fight!

Join up here: http://worldatwar.eu/index.php?&lang=3&refcode=0&location=intro

and post a challenge in the "Open Battlegrounds" section. I'm sure...

Re: another question

Yes, Imp - same thing happens to me. Very occasionally though - so acceptable as the fortune of war....

Re: Combined Arms Onslaught Awaits You!

Roger,

There are always plenty of opponents waiting over on the "World at War" site (click on my signature) or at The Blitz.

Re: Bugs? Questions & Suggestions to the PBEM Camps

Don,

"Replay. The player 1 hitting "replay" in the first turn of a new match will get a replay of the last turn of the match just finished but on the new map."

This is a feature of PBEM...

Re: Thank you for WinSPWW2 developers

Welcome back to the fold.

There are still a couple of places you can find PBEM opponents: on here, The Blitz, or on the World at War site. Get stuck in!

Issue with .dat files during PBEM Campaigns

On a few occasions, upon completing a Turn I find I do not have a .dat file - a .new file has been created instead.

Simply re-naming it does the trick, thankfully.

Has anyone else come across...

Re: Melee,overrun,fix.

Waw - does your first question relate to tanks overrunning infantry? i.e. squashing them under the tracks? If so - definitely not.

Re: Nationalized voices

Sounds are not given any great level of priority in this incarnation of Steel Panthers. Cross has done some good work in this regard, as an add-on. Look for the posts entitled "Cross Sounds".

Re: deleting saved game

I'm on XP.

The way I do it is: go into My Computer/C Drive/Program Files/shrapnel games/camo group/SPWW2/saved games folder, and then manually delete the cmt and dat files.
