I do not think suppression is too high, after all, there has to be a meaningful way to use combined arms in the game without waiting for 5 turns of artillery fire.

What I do think is too deadly...

I have a feeling that unspotted AI units are completely unaffected by artillery fire. I have several times put a barrage in an area, and when I reach it the next turn with my troops, I spot enemy...

The German infantry squad with main weapon 7.92k Mkb 42(H)has a rather feeble sound when firing its MG42, not at all the same MG42 sound as other units. Is this a mistake?

Lots of interesting info and pictures in that link DRG. While we are at it, in many of the pictures there is an MG34 on an AA mount. In game it currently has no MG.
