Re: Lvtp5 / Lvtp7

The information I have which is from, "Marines Under Armor" by Marine Lt. Colonel Ken Estes, is: the LVTP7 has a water speed of 8.4 mph, and a ground speed of 45 mph. The current AAV7 is about the...

Re: Integrating SP with Operational-Level Games

I have always thought that this would be a great idea. Would this be comparable to Steel Panthers 3 (Brigade Combat)? My idea of a game in this area would be a game based on multiple level brigade...

Re: Armoured Vehicle Bridge Launchers

Don't forget that instead of AVLB's the Russian and Israeli OOBs have the GSP Ferry (#776) and the M2 Mobile Bridges/rafts (in the Israeli OOB its called a Timsekh #377). In my US Army OOB I have...

Re: WinSP - NAVAL

I am really surprised that there still have not been more naval games built on the Steel Panther format. I guess that one mod based on SP was really good looking; even with carriers. Too bad someone...

Re: Need Publishing Dates for winSPMBT and winSPWW2

Hey, just think the original Steel Panthers came out in 1996! This game still has a lot of mileage in it. The Steel Panther series of games are the only games I've really played. Thanks guys.

Re: US Stryker Brigade

In my opinion, by only having three vehicles in the platoon, you just have the platoon and you can't split into two sections. Maybe since its only for CS they don't want to thin it out by having...

Re: US Stryker Brigade

Does anyone know why the Stryker mobile gun platoon has 3 vehicles, rather than 4. Most American armored type platoons to my knowledge have been using 4 vehicle platoons since the introduction of the...

Re: Transport for U.S. Patriot Units-Update!

I was wondering for the next patch if we could have pictures and icons of the HEMTT trucks for the US heavy truck. The current icons seem to be of a generic deuce and a half. Thanks

Re: Wanting a Grizzly!

Sorry I can't do icons. If I did there would be tons of stuff I could add. I don't think there are any breaching/combat engineering vehicles being made now that have guns on them. But an M1A1 with a...

Re: What is the expected release date for the new Patch?

Regarding the next game patch I was wondering if its not too late to make a suggestion. In the US OOB the picture of US heavy trucks shows a generic deuce and a half. Would it be possible to include...

Re: Wanting a Grizzly!

The vehicle which you speak of is the new ABV (Assault Breacher Vehicle), developed by the Marine Corps and is also being procurred by the Army. This vehicle can fit various plows/rakes to it, and...

Re: 5th generation Russian aircraft

According to Defense News, this is the Russian version of the F-22. So, maybe, they'll reopen the F-22 production line. I knew the Russian threat was not over.

I also remember seeing this game a few years ago. I think it would be great if a remake was done on this game. I don't know how it compares with some of the other naval games out there, but it would...

Re: WinSPMBT version 4.5 Upgrade patch

I have a question regarding maps which I have made. Will the new maps over write the maps which I have made? Or will the new maps be added after the maps which I created? Thanks

Re: US Heavy Tanks of WWII - Kitty Killers

From what I understand the T95 was build to counter Japanese bunkers in the event of the invasion of Japan. The first two pilot models were completed in September 1945. After cessation of testing in...

Re: What makes a good MBT?

I think these are qualities to look for in developing a good MBT: affordability, maintenance costs, speed, armor protection, armament, range, and deployability. The Panther was a good tank, but had a...

Re: British Army\'s Jackal

For Iraq (and I guess future urban combat) they need the MRAP vehicles. As the article states these are going to Afghanistan to replace the land rovers. The Brits to my knowledge operate the Mastiff...
