Why do you have to find an evil theme for Mictlan? Mictlan are as have been said before pseudo-aztec. To my knowledge there is no cult in the history of the world as bloody as the aztec state cult. Most people would consider daily sacrifices and sacrificial ceremonies were thousands of people were brutally murdered by having their hearts cut from thier chests evil.
