For a serious response (and I wish I could turn display of those stars..and post count..off) Shrapnel's distribution works a little different than you might be used to.
A regular game will drop in price because they print up a LOT of copies, and ship them everywhere. When those don't sell, the price is dropped (cheaper to sell at a loss than to hold on to them). I don't think Shrapnel does that- they order smaller batches, making more as needed. So there is -fairly- little reason for the cost to drop.
