If you want to play a game with that sort of micro detailed trivia, there are plenty of "squad" level shooters out there that differentiate between revolvers and pistols etc, and hand grenade A vs B and whether the player has blue or red socks on his feet today. Go find one of those that you like and play that.
This game is at coy/batallion level of abstraction, the colonel doesent care if Pte Snuffy was issued a ham and egg MRE or a pizza in his ration sack. Your shootemup FPS game may give Pte Snuffy a +1 health for a particular meal choice, but we dont.
We deal with centimetres of armour, and armour level 1 is light, and whether it is 3mm, 5mm or 7mm - we dont care. Ball rounds (treated as HE in the game) bounce from light armour, end of story. The close assault mechanism deals with trying to deal with AFV at close range with small arms (if no AT weaponry carried). FPS 'tacticool' shootemups may be a different story, this is not that sort of micro detail freakery game.
