Just tried out how brutal are the Serens, esp. for the 100 gold in CBM. Buy two of them and send them out with a Kohen, reinforce them by a Kohen Gadol and a third Seren. although this is three turns when you are not buying a researcher. And if you take prod-1 you can buy a few levites besides them.
With killing indies they will get into the Hall of Fame after two or three battles.

Also forget to mention, but Gath has great troops against Ermor. Lot of priests with H2 and H3, Magic weapon against spectral units, recruitable everywhere D and S mages besides your H2-H3 priests.
