I did originally run the patches, however decided to rerinstall them against after reading your response. Patch 4.0 failed to install a couple of times (I recall this happening on my first installation but merrily continued on my way loading the other patches)and then managed to do it on the 3rd time round. All other patches post 4.0 went okay. Am able to play the game now. Thanks for your response.
