Well, I'm back to square one. Because Formations P, Q and S were missing from the core it was a simple matter of deleting the last four formations then rebuying them to give continuity to the formations but it still shuts the game down after getting to the last carrier and I also tried adding a spare carrier to see if that made the game happy.......nope
Will dig deeper in the fall
