Thanks Tim. I checked it out and it's freeware--part of a "Savannah" project, somekind of open source thing? So it's not piracy. I get
really hot under the collar with folks who pirate software, but that's another topic since it drives up the cost of software for everyone else and...but I there I go off topic again....
Anyway, on a hunch, I did a search and someone posted about "Wesnoth" back in July of 2004 on the DOM board. So as usual, I'm about three years behind everyone else.
But, for those like myself who fall off the face of the earth, the game is called "Wesnoth" and it can be found at
the Wesnoth homepage with both Mac and Windows versions available. It's not as tactically indepth as DOM, but it's a fun little strategy game.
