Just want to put this out there. I have an original copy (printed in 1939) of the Taschenbuch der Heere - 1939 (something like: "Handbook/Pocketbook of Armies") written by Kurt Passow.
It includes information (albeit only information that was known at the time) about the armies of every country in the world. There are quite a few pages about Switzerland for instance. It's not exhaustive, but does present information about military equipment (small arms, artillery, support weapons, AAA, etc.) general demographics, and brief OOB's for some standard units.
So, I guess I just wanted to share that incase anyone is interested in me looking up something specific. It's important to note that it only includes information that was publicly known in 1939 (so no secret weapons). It doesn't list any type of vehicles either.
