Re: Need information on the Battle of Wadi Al Bati
The unit was 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division. If I remember correctly, they lost a couple of Bradleys from either tank or antitank gun fire. At least one of their M-1's was frontally hit by tank fire and the tank plt commander suffered hearing loss and other injuries which forced him to be medically retired from the Army. My knowledge of this comes from my brother as he joined the unit as a new Lieutenant shortly after their return from DESERT STORM.
