Default Re: Latest patches killed both games for me

If you have an anti-virus of the sort that "sandboxes" new (including changed) executables (like my Avast AV does) then the exe can run for a few minutes and then get terminated. That got so irritating in the development environment that I dug through the options and found out how to "white list" folders so id did not do the sand-boxing (tries run it once for a minute or so, then just terminates it and restarts the thing. That gets old very quickly when you are doing the "change a line of code, rebuild and try to get back to the breakpoint you were debugging at" cycle!).

It may be that you have an AV that is doing some sort of "whoa - the WW2 EXE has changed!" thing and not reporting it well, or has decided its suspicious, or has pop-ups turned off etc. If so it may be worthwhile figuring out how to "white list" the shrapnel games folder hierarchy in your anti-virus software.
