I haven't seat in one of those, but is there much difference from turret mounted TMG, often in the same mountings in armoured cars and old tanks?... (I'm letting alone CMGs, which usually have rigid mounting and sights common with a gun). In the game there's a huge difference 10 vs 24 hexes. On the other hand, many - or maybe most - BMGs had optical sights with some magnification (like Polish wz.25 in TKS tankette, Soviet DT, Besa...)
