Default Slow game play in Demo?

I've already posted this message in another thread, but I was worried it would get buried.
It seems the demo plays very slowly. I don't have much time in my turn to develop, assay hunt the wumpus & return to the pub. Is it just my computer? Is it just the demo?

I loved MULE (had an 'emulator-based' Version running, but that seems to have dropped out of sight on the internet). Space Horse seems to have captured the essential & improved some stuff. But this 'slow play' is a problem, because I don't have time in a turn to enjoy all the features of the game.

Is your player just moving extremely slow, or just don't have enough time?

Just like in Mule, if you are short on Food, you won't have that much time to do stuff. If you have extra food, you can eat it to get more time.

If memory serves, with having enough food, you get about 40 seconds. It's been a while since I played Last. I can usually develope two plots of land (3 if they are close to the store).

No, I had plenty of food, but the player was way slow. Frustrating because the computer players seem to accomplish normal amount of stuff (develop and assay and pub) while my player is slow -- never has time to make it back to the pub.

Any Space Horse players out there finding the same problem, or is it just my computer or just the demo?

THe only time my character moves slow is going over mountains.

Have you tried a different controller, like keyboard or mouse?

Seemed equally slow with mouse and keyboard. Have you played both the demo and the game -- same response time in each?

The gameplay speed for me was the same in both the trial and full Version.

Yes, the gameplay speed is the same in both Versions. Also true is that you move slower over mountains AND in the river. You move the same speed whether using Joystick, Keyboard or Mouse. I'm not sure why you're running short on time. It's about the same as M.U.L.E.

In the full Version, there is a new feature that allows you to eat extra food to gain extra time in your current turn. This is done in the pub, and is very handy. It increases the value of buying extra food without it all spoiling.
