Exclamation Misc tab game settings

Something I discovered ( yes...even I discover new things about the game from time to time )......... I had for years normally played with fast arty ON. Watching individual shells landing I found tedious and I didn't need to know were every one of them landed just the general vicinity but you cannot use fast arty in PBEM so I started poking around with Graphics delay to see how that changed things and I found a setting that allows me to run fast arty off but get almost the same effect as fast arty on...or at least not nearly as tedious.

Every computer will be different and I do not suggest this will work for everyone the way it works for me but default graphics delay is 40 with unit move delay 50......many of you may have already changed that to suit your system but I have found, for me Graphics delay 15 gives nice fast arty on the map.....not too fast you cannot see individual shots landing but not so slow as to become tedious. I run unit move delay at 40 and that works nice on my machine

Default Re: Misc tab game settings

I did forget to mention that your setting in preferences for animation level also has an influence on how that all works together. The lower the setting the faster things run as you don't see the path of individual shells with a low setting there and that speeds up response time when coupled to graphics delay....but with all of this as I said above....each machine and processor is different and you need to adjust to suit your style but I guess the trick is knowing what you can adjust to get what you want and maybe this will help some of you
