Default UK Lynx oddity

Not sure if this should go here or in the general discussion, but I joined up to post something strange I've found with the UK 1978 to 1980 Lynx AH Mk1 (TOW, MG, TI 40). When I had a veteran unit in combat, it would be listed as starting out with 2 TOW shots, but sometimes, when firing the "last" shot, it would end up having another shot available. I've been able to fire as many as 4 or 5 shots this way in a single turn. I tried searching to see if this had come up before, but didn't manage to find anything. It doesn't always happen, either, and I'm not sure exactly what triggers the result.

DRG will become famous soon enough

If it indicates there are only two ammo left and it fires more, that is a problem.

If it indicates it gets two shots but has ammo to fire more and it does that isn't a problem as issues of rallying and surpression come into play. I have seen the game give a unit an extra shot after it scored a kill with it's "last" shot" becasue the units morale went up but only if there was enough ammo left to do that.

And.. that would be more likely to happen with veteran units

If an ATGM (or any as far as I can determine) unit is fired on as it launches a missile it "gains" a "free" shot during that game-turn.
So your Lynx probably started the turn with 2 shots (and 4+ ammo loadout), fired - was fired on during the launch - gained a "free" shot - fired - was fired on during the launch - and gained another "free" shot.
That sound like what happened?

Suhiir's explanation sounds more like what I remember happening. I didn't realize that ATGM units gained "free" shots when being fired upon while launching. May I ask the reasoning behind that?

It is called a bug - and has probably been there since SP2, since we have not been into that bit of code that I can think of.

I can't say for sure it it's intentional or not, but as DRG said experienced crews seem to have it happen more often, so I suspect it's a matter of the crew going into high gear when they're being shot at as opposed to their normal "Don't strain yourself." pace.

OR!
As Mobhack (Andy) just said (as I was typing this) it's a bug...

Alright, well, here's official notice of it being a bug, then. I guess it can go on the list, since I'm sure there are more important bugs to quash first.
