Scenhack can change a ground unit to a air unit or you can just change the Icon and simulate an aircraft of helo on the ground

You cant have planes in your core in campaigns.

You can build planes that act like ground units, for instance if you want to simulate landing on a runway. However as far as I know it is treated as a ground unit then so AAA does not use its routines to engage & its at ground level.

Best way to simulate this is turn it into a helicopter & go hi low landed on approach.
Still not perfect as doesn't actually land till last hex so flies down the runway at low height rather than ground height.

ok so far it seems possible to have planes in the core. they are availabale and are carried through from one scenario to the other lets see what happens once they get hit (i will try to avoid that)

If you used a ground unit as the base they will I suspect be immune to most AAA like SAMs etc but will be subject to normal ground fire. If you used a helo as base will be treated as one.
