Default Germany OOB 16 v.9 (loadouts for planes)

I`ve seen some small errors on some german planes, so I will collect them here.

The Bf 109:

Guns:

The guns of the D model are correct, but only beginning with the E-7 the Bf 109 was able to carry bombs. Also there was no 120 kg bomb (weapon 240) in the Germany arsenal, as far as I know.
The whole E-series (beginning with the E-3) had two 7.92 MG 17 in the cowling with 1000 rounds and two MG FF (not the MG 151) with 60 rounds in the wings.
The F-series should have two MG 17 with 500 rounds and one MG 151 with 200 rounds with a motor mount cannon. (originally the F-2 had a MG 151/15mm which is not modeled in the game but this was field moded to the MG 151/20 later; the F-4 always had the MG 151/20).
The G-2 had the same armament as the F-series, only with the G-5 the MG 17 were replaced with the 13mm MG 131 (400 rounds).

Beginning with the F-4 it was possible to mount gun pods under the wing (one MG 151/20 with 135 rounds under each wing), but only beginning with the G-6 these could be also 30mm MK 108 with 35 rounds each. Also they were only used against bombers and the Il-2.
Some G-6 were equipped with the 30mm MK 108 with 65 rounds instead of the MG 151/20

Bombs:

No Bf 109 could carry a 500 kg bomb, only 250 kg or 4x 50 kg bombs.

There were relative few occasions were F or G models had to fly ground attack missions, but the E-7/B was a designated ground attack version which was used until the end of 42, before these unit (Schlachtgeschwader 1, before that elements of II./LG 1) converted to the Fw 190. The Bf 109E-7/B served from around Oct. 1940 to the beginning of 43.

Unused weapons:

RZ 65 rocket (weapon 170). As far as I know only test trials were made, but the project with the RZ 65 was abandoned. Also it was intended to be an air-air rocket.

Werfrgranate 8r (weapon 173; misspelled!! It`s Werfergranate (Wfrgr or Werfergr)) was mainly used to break up bomber formations. Because of it`s low muzzle velocity the trajectory was not flat and aiming was difficult. They were very very seldom used for ground attack.

Suggestions:

#122 can be dropped (no 109 ever had a 30mm MK 101, only the MK 108 beginning with the G-6; the MK 101 weighted 139kg, the MK 103 141kg, both guns were much too large and way too heavy, so only the MK 108 which was 58kg, could be used)

Also #909 with the RZ 65 rocket was never used (see above)

Suggestions:

#905 Bf 109D or E-1
4x 7.92mm MG 17
no bombs (bomb racks were only fitted after the Battle of Britain in autumn of 1940)

#906 Bf 109E-3
2x 7.92mm MG 17 1000 rounds
2x 20mm MG FF 60 rounds
no bombs
available 10/39

#907 Bf 109E-7/B (dedicated ground attack version, used until the end of 42)
2x 7.92mm MG 17 1000 rounds
2x 20mm MG FF 60 rounds
1x 250kg bomb
available 10/40 - 12/42

#908
907 Bf 109E-7/B
2x 7.92mm MG 17 1000 rounds
2x 20mm MG FF 60 rounds
4x 50kg bomb
available 10/40 - 12/42

#909 Bf 109F-4
2x 7.92mm MG 17 500 rounds
1x 20mm MG 151 200 rounds
1x 250kg bomb
available 01/42

#122 Bf 109G-6
2x 13mm MG 131 400 rounds
1x 20mm MG 151 200 rounds
1x 250kg bomb
available 03/43

Cheers

Default Re: Germany spob 16 (loadouts for planes)

@DRG,

Don, no "on the list for the next patch"?

I`m just asking because I`ve posted this (and some other corrections for the Fw 190 and the Hs 123 and Hs 129) already some months ago here:
http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showt...t=49664&page=6

My sources are:

Exclamation Re: Germany spob 16 (loadouts for planes)

Well, I had some time so I made these "corrections" and between the changes to correct what would be to the vast majority of players inconsequential changes to game play Re: German OOB aircraft weapon loadouts and the removal of now redundant weapons...maybe a dozen units............that created errors in 23 scenarios ---- 8 of which are in two campaigns that will all now have to be corrected, rebuilt and re-issued adding, if I'm lucky, "only" another 2-3 hours of work.

Imagine how happy I am at the moment.............

I have for years now been trying to accommodate the error ferrets but we are past the point where any really significant errors are left for anyone but the player who reported the " problem" reducing my yearly game work to hours of unwelcome drudgery instead of interesting challenges so the 35 or so pages of change requests for WW2 I have now are all I am going to do, any further lists of minutia will be ignored.
