Default Horror seed?

Curious to test the results of this spell I tried it out in a test game I made with 2 nations set to human. The description says that the parasitic horror will horror mark and curse those in the same province but it seems that after many many turns I have seen any of this happening.

However, I do see horrors popping out of units that have them when they die in combat- is this really the only effect of this spell? I'm sure if that's all it still has its uses, I was just under the impression it would randomly distribute curses and horrormarks in the province it's planted in.

Anyone have any insights?

It will horror mark up to 5 people per turn, and spreak up to 1 horror seed per turn, which eventually hatch into horrors. If the (first) bearer of the Horror Seed is killed, the true horror emerges.

Thank you for the manual description.

The horror seeds only seem to hatch when the host dies in battle or something.

If you really microed your troops, maybe you could find the seed if it is a horror mark.

The problem is it doesn't seem to horror mark people or add additional horror seeds.

I tested with 2 nations set to human and spammed it on an army filled province with one nation and observed the results with the other. I did see the horrors hatch when units died in battle but other than that, I did not observe any horror marks unless these aren't visible.

Based on the spell description is there a difference between the parasitic horrors and the original true horror?

secretperson...
have you tried allowing 20+ turns to pass and then have a battle to determine if the spell actually spreads horrors to others?

NTJedi- I tried it a few times and while my testing wasn't perfect, it seemed that only one horror would pop out from the seed. Honestly, it's fine if that's all it does as I'm sure there are still uses for it. But I was just wondering if it's supposed to do more than that.
