Default Friendly Fire?

Hi all...
Is there any friendly fire in WinSPWW2? I mean when we have an enemy unit in the same hex with our unit and we use another unit out of that hex to attack that enemy, is there going to be any casualty from our own fire (to our own unit on that hex)?

I've tried to "attack" my own unit but what they got is just suppressing point.
Thanks.

Friendly fire works as well as enemy fire, with only one exception - you cannot directly target your unit by aimed fire, you can engage them only by means of Z-fire, indirect barrage, or by splash damage when firing on adjacent enemy unit. All these methods are inherently significantly less accurate and effective (casaulties wise) than an aimed direct fire, so there will be not that much casaulties, but still the suppression will be significant.

The present system sure does allow for it to be simulated with all the inherent carnage at this level of play. I've had airstrkes on more than one occasion take out vehicles and seen a 15cm round from a Brumbar kill an enemy squad in a hex plus sevrely suppress my squad and cause the panzer crew in the Panzer in the same hex to bail out. So while you can't "motivate" troops with the barrels of your guns. Yes as in real war, "friendly" fire does occur. As the old saying goes, "Mr Grenade is not our friend once the pin is pulled."

And "There is only one thing more accurate than enemy incoming fire - friendly incoming fire!"
