Question WIP - Additional, historically plausible German units mod

Well, I'm making a mod to add some stuff which I feel is missing in the standard German OOB.

For now, I have created:
T-28: a)with commanders cupola
b)with KwK L/43
c)with KwK L/48
added it to the OOB, and made proper icons for it - winter, summer (panzergrau) and desert.
KV-1 Ausf. E:
a)-"-
b)-"-
c)-"-
-"-
KV-2 Ausf. A and B
(A being a commanders cupola + standard 152mm, B being a commanders cupola + 8.8 L/56)

Now I started working on Tiger P, VK 45.02 (as 3 were built, and one was completed with turret) and Löwe (can't help, my favourite tank )

So, I have the needed top-view pictures, and I resized them to fit WinSPWW2 standards, the problem I have now is obviously their colors. So I'm asking if there is any program, any way to alter the colors on those pictures to "fit" the WinSPWW2 color palette? I've got most image editing programs already installed so software shouldn't be a problem, just can't find a way to add them.

Obviously I wouldn't just change the palette and then import them to the game, as I believe that the tanks would have a far too metalic look like that, the pictures being taken from WoT.
