I usually do, as Marines, One company Helo, One company mech, One company trucks. I also like to play the South Vietnamese usually Marines or Rangers or an armed Cav unit.

Been thinking of playing the 11th ACR one squadron. But that would require a couple games to redo the units the 11th had no tanks in the Troops. They replaced the 3 tanks with 3 M113 up gunned can't think of designation.

Must love most of my scenarios then, usually a full MEU.

Try #304 or #327 sometime.

I agree with Suhiir, large maps will give you more interesting situations.

DRG will become famous soon enough

One strength of the game is it's flexibility and we added the ability to adjust map size ( AND edit it ) for that reason. Personally I like 1 - 2 company-sized battles with a support of a mortar section and a section of tanks when I just want to play out something quick......like a simulated attack on a small crossroads village and for that, a 30x30 map ( what Andy calls " Postage stamp" maps ......) works OK for me and 30x30 represents 1.5 km square.

The point is not everyone likes the big or small maps but some do and picking the size you like is why we made sure you could

One thing you have to remember - with big maps, it will take forever to move infantry, as it will probably be jungle terrain which is very restrictive to infantry units, probably what will happen is that after one fire fight your infantry units will be pinned in the same spot for a few turns, even if you win the fire fight. Even wheeled or tracked vehicles will be slow in the jungle and will take heavy casualties. With small maps your helicopters will be prime targets, as most SAMs, even SAMs carried by infantry will be able to target them all the way from the other side of the map. In the end, with any map size your going take heavy casualties, so I would suggest to include a lot of off map artillery when designing the scenario. Restrictive terrain is very formable. I don't know for sure, but I would say that the guys you want to win would need approximately 5 times more troops than the other side, maybe four, three, or two if you have a lot of support.
