Hi all,

Just wondering if there is a way to change the appearance of the forums. I'm using Firefox, and have the text set to Shrapnelgames HUGE at the display settings in My Home, but am still having a tough time reading the text, I'd like to get a little more contrast between the text and the backround, and maybe sharpen the definition of the text, but I don't see an option to do those things anywhere. Am I missing something, or do you have any suggestions/tips?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Other than changing the size of the text (which you've already done) there really isn't anything on this end to change. Have you checked your monitor settings? We've never had anyone complain about the contrast or definition of the text on the forum.

Hi,

Actually I think it's Firefox, because this forum appears much differently (and more readable) if I use IE. I have tried tinkering with the Firefox settings, but no luck so far..... It's funny, because this is one of only a handful of forums I read that appears so messed up, and I use Firefox exclusively for browsing. Most of them look fine and are very readable. I'll figure it out. Thanks,

Hmmm, maybe some people who use Firefox exclusively can shine some light on this issue. I know we have lots of Firefox users and still I haven't heard of this issue........very weird. Maybe you should upload a screenshot for us to see if anyone else who uses FF can offer some insight?

Firefox user here and no problems to report.

Is color blindness something that you have experienced cwchute? Just a thought. I had a friend that had problems with some combinations of backgrounds and text colors.

Also, if text size is an issue, you can hold down the control key and use your scroll button on the mouse to scale text size up and down in the browser.

Hi Ballbarian,

No, other than needing cheaters to read, the peepers are OK. Like I said, it's only this forums and one or two others that I/Firefox have this issue with. The rest of the forums I frequent don't give me a problem.

Well, this image is easier to read than the real thing! LOL. It does not show the pale green shadow around each letter that reduces the contrast between the text and the backround.... It's just weird.

Could be your video driver, or possibly something with your eyes. Doesn't need to be full color blindness, some partial varieties or other quirks in color perception can screw your vision right royally in some circumstances.

Totally wild guess here: do your reading glasses have tinted lenses?
