Default OOB question (pre-war units in Long Campaigns)

I love to play Long Campaigns and one thing I wish there were more of was interwar vehicles. I don't know anything about editing OOBs but is it possible for me to learn somehow to take an inter-war vehicle (already in WinSPWW2) and edit it in the OOB of it's country so that I could buy it in a core force for a Long Campaing? Would this screw up or glitch the game in some way?

Just for example let's say I wanted to do a Long Campaign as Canada starting in July '43 by default, but I wanted my tank company to be of Ram I tanks to better represent a reservist force (Ram I tanks become unavailable in November of 1942 in the Canadian OOB). 1) - is it possible to edit the OOB for Long Compaign purposes like this and 2) - how do I learn?

Default Re: OOB question (pre-war units in Long Campaigns)

Open up "Mobhack OOB editor" (on the utilities tab of the game options window)

Choose the relevant OOB

Search for the unit (ie Ram I) Copy to paste buffer (button at top)
Scroll down to an empty spot (traditionally in the 900's) Paste from Buffer (button at top)

Change the data you wish (end date= Until), name, etc.

Hit Red Tick to save unit.

save tab to save OOB.

Done

Sorry Edit doesn't work:

There is also a full Mobhack help available from the game - worth a read.

P.S. Please Remember to back up the original OOB (and remember PBEM games MUST have same OOB)

I'll use the Ram 1 example

1/ Open MOBHack for ww2

2/ Click on unit 19 ( Ram 1 )

3/ Change the 11/42 end date to whatever you like.... Lets say 7/43

4/ Click on the red check mark at the top , that holds your save temporarily until you......

5/ Click on the load/save tab

6/ click on SAVE to the right of the screen

You're done

Right on, I tried these methods and worked great! Now I have to learn more about editing OOBs, so I can take my fantasy reserve Canadian force armed with vintage equipment and storm the beaches of Italy with it.
