Fallout Has a fire hex ever killed anything?

Just curious, have you guys ever experienced a fire hex kill or wound anything?

I mean the actual hex and not the cause of the fire e.g. shellfire.

Personally I have only seen suppression and or route/retreat, maybe I'm not paying attention . I know the game guide says fire kills. What I'm wondering is how often incidental combustion casualties really occur.

Green troops will retreat.

Normal troops will be so suppressed that enemy units will be able to sneak up on them from one hex away during the opponents turn.

Veteran troops will perform slightly poorer, almost as if they had a cold.

And elite troops aren't afraid of fire

That's my two cents, the devs and more experienced players would be able to give a better answer. Hope this helps

actually, all troops get some supression from fire hex, it depends on xp and morale, and it might kill, not much frequent though, also note that vehicles can have riders killed, and the vehicle can be supressed

Do you guys think fire, specifically on forest hexes, should be more lethal?

A trustworthy government website that details basic facts about forest fires

WWII wasn't really fought in North America

It was mostly in the Soviet Union and other damp and rainy parts of Europe. And North Africa, well...they had plenty of sand to throw on the fires And aren't the Pacific Islands and Burma more of a rain forest environment?

Wildfire seems to be pretty common in countries bordering the Mediterranean: Spain, Southern France, Italy, Greece, etc. It wouldn't be unrealistic to have Battle-of-the-Wilderness-style conflagrations in these regions, though I do imagine it would be hard to portray in-game.

Well the Finns used scorched earth tactics pretty extensivly & the biggest tank battle ever at Kursk the whole place went up & due to the speed it spread killed quite a few. As the game cant model weather as in wind & season as in dry wet its not worth bothering with much. Think of as suppresion ties him in place & restricts shots as hes busy pooring his canteen on the flames.
