Default A-20 Fighter bomber

I have noticed that all of the A-20 variants are classified as level bombers when the final model (A-20G) were outfitted as fighter bombers with either 4x 20mm and 2x.50 cal or 6x.50 cal in a solid nose.

Moreover the A-20B's of the 5th Air Force in the New Guinea theatre were modified with solid noses in 1942 (for an armament of 6x.50 cal) and later received Para Frags (which were developed in theatre) for the support of US army operations in that area.

I propose that one or both versions of the A-20G be added to the US Army OOB along with a solid nose A-20B unit with para frags. Currently only an Aussie A-20 with para frags exists as a level bomber, which also runs contrary to how those bombs were delivered, in diving, low level attacks.

The A-20G-1 (with the 4x20mm cannon nose) was not received well by the USAAF. The reliability of the cannon was notoriously bad. Most of these were passed to the Soviet Union (one might consider adding it to that OOB). The A-20G-20 with the 6x.50 cal nose was used by the USAAF.

I released a tiny aircraft mod some time ago that had both of these variants, the A-20G-1 in the Soviet OOB and the A-20G-20 in the USA OOB.

Default Re: A-20 Fighter bomber

There are four versions of an A-20 as UC 44 in the US OOB now including the para-frags and the bomb loads of the earlier versions has been corrected in all OOB's

Specification of Douglas A-20B Havoc
Normal bomb load 1500 pounds, maximum bomb load 2400 pounds.

now 2000 in the game

Specification of Douglas A-20G Havoc:
Maximum internal bomb load 2000 pounds in split bomb bay plus (on later models) 2000 pounds on four underwing hardpoints.

now 2x 1000 pound bombs plus 4x 500 pound bombs on later version for 4000 pound total
