Default Sword of Many Colors is AoE?

As the title. The rulebook seems to say is only on target(s) while the in game description states "anyone nearby". I have not found anything too conclusive either here or in Wiki.

Anyone knows?

And, also, what is this Killing Light effect? is it just a roll againts MR and if fail then die?

PS:apologies for the double post, error while editing.

Good question.
I snag it in almost every game but I use it more for its +1 to every elemental magic. So I rarely send it into combat.

Well, I think it just looks awsome in a giftofreasoned Tart Cyclops that has 3E2A before the sword.... Add to that Amon Othep helmet, an amulet of antimagic, Aseftik armor (for a total of 30 MR unbuffed) and then a luck amulet and boots of quicknes and you got a pretty much unstoppable dude with Fear +5 on top. Script it with Summon earthpower, mistform, mirror image, rain of stones and attack rear, drop it with cloud trapeze and wreack some havoc against mage heavy armies.

Would there be any other better script combo for this freak of nature?

Who needs astral?

Of course while you're standing there buffing you might well be eating killspells to the face or flying thugs with hero swords.

Maybe one that doesn't leave you with crippling fatigue because of Aseftik's Armor + Rain of Stones? 3E2A Cyclopses are indeed awesome because of Rain of Stones, but you don't have to do it on the same commander that you're planning on taking into melee.

-Max

P.S. Don't forget that Iron Will is as good as Resist Magic for a lone SC.

Unstoppable? Noooooooo theres no such thing = )
While you're scripting mine will be, with 4 mictlan fire mages:

Life for life x 5.

100 precision, 46 AN damage, no MR.

By my figuring you're dead in round 1 = ). But definitely by round 3.
