Default Missing Mortars

Hi,
Greetings to everyone, this is my first post on the list.
Firstly, thanks to Andy and Don for these fantastic games.
Secondly has anyone else noticed that on occasion mortars (both mobile and fixed) will sometimes vanish from the bombardment menu (and then sometimes reappear) without being moved. However they still appear on the main map and in the main listings.
I first noticed this in WinSPWW2 with the introduction of the
V1.1B patch, scenarios affected being No. 310 and No.1 (rather embarrassingly when I was demonstrating the game). In WinSPMBT this occurred in scenarios No. 156 and 166 after installing the V3 patch. I have saved games from each turn of scen. 156 if this will be of any help.
Once again thanks to all for these wonderful games.

Warwick

My first guess: They are out of contact with their company or battery commander - check by clicking on them and you might see a red message "out of contact" - move them closer to their company commander, preferably in visible range if that´s the problem. This problem occurs frequently if you have an infantry company with a directly attached mortar platoon - the infantry advances and the mortars remain where they are to carry out fire missions. I always detach them in the deployment turn to avoid this problem.

Default Re: Missing Mortars

They are out of radio contact and won't start firing OR stop firing ( if they had a mission assigned )until they regain radio contact.

The same question was asked on the WW2 forum this week
