Default Petrify

Are Undead units affected by petrify (Stone sword, Ageius shield?)?

I have looked everywhere but the best I get is on Stone sword the wielder may get zapped himself.

This is why I used the stone sword on a gargoyle in NaV. The original one had something silly like 13 mr when it killed sept's fomorian kings. At that level there's no way it would have worked out had it not been made of stone (the effect is an aoe greater than 1, so it sometimes hits the wielder). High MR will also protect against the petrification, of course, but the easiest way is with stone beings, because it's pretty much inevitable that eventually you'll fail an mr check. I think gargoyles and reanimated statues are the only summonable stone beings in the game, but I could be wrong.

Ah, yes, when I said that they were the only summonable stone beings in the game, I meant that they were the only summonables that were available to everyone. The agarthan stone creature summons are of course made of stone! There's also at least one god made of stone (the giant head pretender), which has no slots. For a full list, check edi's database :P

Not sure if the error is with the Crusher unit or with Edi's DB, but either way right now Crushers die against a Gorgon (ie. get Petrified) just as fast as everything else. As the attached save game shows.

Crushers should be made of stone! Their description says they are. Why not report that as a bug?

Also, Oreigenes is made of "stone and rocks" which sounds like stone to me.

Barathrus, on the other hand, is "stone and soil", and soil isn't stone! Likewise, earth gnomes and presumably earth elementals contain "earth" and not just stone.

Pedoseion seems pretty soily, and also bloody of course.

Siege golems are made of metal.
